German police arrest American tourist for shoving two women down a ravine, killing one, near famous castle

An American vacationer was arrested in Germany Thursday for allegedly pushing two fellow American vacationers down a steep slope – killing one among them – close to a well-known German castle. 

The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon close to the Marienbruecke, a bridge over a gorge that gives a view of the Neuschwanstein Castle. 

The 30-year-old man met the 2 American girls, ages 21 and 22, on a climbing path and lured them onto a path that results in a viewpoint, police stated.

“The youthful of the 2 girls was attacked by the suspect,” stated police spokesman Holger Stabik. “The older one tried to hurry to her help, was then choked by the suspect and subsequently pushed down a slope.”

The assailant then allegedly tried to sexually assault the 21-year-old earlier than pushing her down the slope as nicely. She fell almost 165 toes, ending up near her good friend.

He praised the work of authorities, saying the rescue helicopter, “got here mere toes above the tree line on the high of the hill.”

“They did an unbelievable job,” he stated. 

Authorities haven’t recognized the suspect or the 2 victims.
