French skier falls into massive crevasse in terrifying helmet video

A Frenchman captured the terrifying moments he fell into a large crevasse whereas snowboarding within the Swiss Alps.

The center-stopping video captures 36-year-old Les Powtos occurring upon a misleading circle within the Alps that rapidly crumbles right into a crevasse and plummets the experienced skier into darkness.

The accident occurred on the Meije mountain, identified for its excessive snowboarding, which overlooks the village of La Grave, France, in the Alps.

Powtos’ GoPro head mount captures the skier dropping management and free-falling into the icy gap. He continues to drop till he manages to wedge his skis into the glacier and eventually come to a cease at a sliver of ledge. Footage reveals how the icy drop continues deeper into darkness.

Within the feedback on his Instagram web page, @lespowtos, the skier describes making it out with crampons, or ice cleats, and a small piece of rope from his friends.
