White Sox’ Liam Hendriks set to return months after cancer diagnosis

Chicago White Sox nearer Liam Hendriks is ready to return to the lively roster on Monday, greater than a month after saying he was in remission following his non-Hodgkin lymphoma prognosis. 

Hendriks, 34, missed the primary two months of the season after he revealed in early January that he had been identified with stage 4 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. In early April, he underwent his closing spherical of chemotherapy, and on April 20 he formally introduced that he was “most cancers free.”

The White Sox introduced in a video posted to Twitter on Sunday that he’ll return to the group. 

Hendriks seemingly confirmed his return date with a submit on Instagram that included the date “5.29” and the caption “See you quickly Southside.”

The White Sox are set to host the Los Angeles Angels on Monday night time at 8:10 p.m. ET.

Hendriks made six rehab appearances with the Triple-A Charlotte Knights and allowed only one run and one hit throughout one inning in his closing recreation on Could 16.

Hendriks has 115 saves and a 3.81 ERA over 12 seasons. He’s at present within the closing 12 months of his $54 million, three-year take care of the White Sox.
