Longtime Texas A&M defensive line coach Terry Price dies at 55

Texas A&M defensive position coach Terry Value has died on the age of 55, the college introduced Friday.

Value coached in the SEC for 28 years and returned to Texas A&M in 2012. He performed for the Aggies below coaches Jackie Sherrill and R.C. Slocum from 1986-1989.

Value additionally coached at Western Kentucky (1994), Ole Miss (1995-98 and 2009-11). Auburn (1999-2008) and Texas Tech (2011).

“Terry was not solely an awesome Aggie, soccer coach and recruiter, he was an excellent higher husband, father and man,” Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher mentioned in a press release. “The affect he had on this program and his gamers is immeasurable. Our soccer household has suffered an unimaginable loss.”

The Texas A&M soccer program paid tribute to Value on social media, calling the assistant coach a “legend.”

“A legend on the enjoying discipline and the sidelines, it’s with heavy hearts we mourn the lack of Terry Value and supply our deepest condolences to Coach Value’s household and mates,” the Aggies’ Twitter account shared.

Throughout his teaching tenure, Value helped develop standouts resembling two-time All-American move rusher Myles Garrett. In 2017, the Cleveland Browns chosen Garrett No. 1 total within the draft.

Value can be credited with serving to information late NFL linebacker Quentin Groves when he was at Auburn. Groves completed his faculty soccer profession on the prime of the Tigers’ all-time sacks listing.

Value beforehand mentioned coming to School Station was a “life-changing determination.”

Value is survived by his spouse, Kenya, and two sons, Alexander and Devin.
