Saudi Arabia announces inaugural $100m film fund at Cannes Film Festival

CANNES: Saudi Arabia’s Cultural Growth Fund unveiled a historic $100 million movie sector fund to foster the expansion of native movie and media on the ongoing Cannes Movie Competition. 

The launch of the inaugural Movie Funding Fund for native and worldwide buyers got here within the wake of an announcement of a separate $80 million fund that may goal native movie and media manufacturing, distribution and infrastructure. 

The CDF has now partnered with MEFIC Capital and holding firm ROAA Media Ventures to determine the Movie Funding Fund, budgeted at $100 million.
