Stars together with comedians Alan Carr and Jo Model, and Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wooden, have arrived in Kent for the funeral of Paul O’Grady – TV star, LGBTQ campaigner and animal lover.  

A non-public funeral for O’Grady, who died on 28 March, will happen after a procession by way of the village of Aldington in Kent.

A bake sale was being organised outdoors the Walnut Tree pub with proceeds going to Battersea Canine & Cats House.

O’Grady, who rose to fame as his drag alter ego Lily Savage earlier than happening to host a string of tv programmes, died “unexpectedly but peacefully” at his dwelling on 28 March on the age of 67.
