David Henderson 1927-2018 – OECD

04/10/2018 – David Henderson, Chief Economist of the OECD from 1983 till his retirement in 1992, died on 30 September 2018, aged 91.

A graduate, Fellow and later a Proctor of Oxford College, David Henderson went on to turn out to be financial advisor on the UK Treasury within the Fifties, Chief Economist on the Ministry of Aviation within the Sixties and  Director of the Economics Division on the World Financial institution between 1969-75. He took up the Chair of Political Economic system at College Faculty London in 1975 earlier than changing into Head of what was then OECD’s Economics and Statistics Division.

In 1985 he gave the BBC Reith Lectures, which had been printed within the e-book Innocence and Design: The Affect of Financial Concepts on Coverage (Blackwell, 1986).
