Congressional lawmakers are calling for the return of a Los Angeles-based legal professional who has been held in Venezuela for greater than a yr after making a flawed flip into the nation and is now accused of being a spy.
Eyvin Hernandez, who has labored with the Los Angeles County public defender’s workplace for over 15 years, has been in custody since March 2022, Fox Los Angeles reported.

Hernandez was arrested alongside the Colombia-Venezuela border days earlier than he was scheduled to return to the US from trip. His household says he traveled there from the town of Medellin with a Venezuelan good friend who wanted to get her passport stamped to resolve a problem along with her migratory standing in Colombia.
He was detained after making a flawed flip and ending up close to the Venezuelan side of the border. As soon as Hernandez realized his mistake, it was too late to show again.
