The British-French type icon, who lent her identify to the Hermes Birkin purse, died earlier this month on the age of 76.

She was best-known for her 1969 hit single “Je t’aime… moi non plus” with then-husband Serge Gainsbourg.

Ms Birkin’s daughters Charlotte Gainsbourg, 51, and Lou Doillon, 40, led mourners into the Church of Saint-Roch.

“I already really feel the vacuum she is leaving. That is my mom, our mom,” stated Ms Gainsbourg.

“Mom, thanks for not being atypical and cheap,” Ms Doillon stated.
